GENERAL INFORMATION

This rural home is located in San Bernardino County, just outside of the township of Apple Valley. This is the "High Desert" area. The altitude is 3000 feet. We have warm to hot days and cool nights (mostly below 70 degrees). We also have a very large number of days of sunshine. The summer humidity is low enough that evaporative coolers can be used to supplement the central A/C system ..... saving on your electric bill. Also, the low humidity results in very few bug-type critters. (No flees, chiggers or ticks.) We do have some rabbits, doves, quail and many other types of birds, including humming birds. Also we find a few hot-air balloons and ultra-lights in the sky on some weekends.

Large lots (each exceeding two acres) provides wide house separation. This, coupled with being located outside of town, provides a quiet environment. Yet, we can readily access needed stores, restaurants, etc. The annotated map, found at the end of this page, identifies some of the closer ones. The town of Victorville, some 20 minutes to the West, provides all manner of fancy restaurants, clothing stores, and entertainment.

The photos below provide a feel for the interior appearance and decor of the home.
